Drop your PDF here

Drag a file in, or choose one — it opens in the workspace below, already loaded.

PDF, up to 20 MB. Larger files still work — add them in the workspace itself.

What you get

One ordered PDF instead of a stack of separate files

Bring related PDFs together, arrange them in the required sequence, and create one document that is simpler to review or share.

  • Combine multiple PDF files
  • Drag files into the right order
  • Create one shareable document

Turn separate files into one ordered document

Add the source PDFs, arrange their page order, and check the combined document before you share it.

How it works

How to use Merge PDF in three steps

  1. Add two or more PDF files.

  2. Arrange the files in the order you need.

  3. Merge and download the combined PDF.

Complete the job

Merge PDF from upload to a checked result

Follow the whole path before you start: choose the source, set the job, run the workspace, verify the output, and continue only when the result is right for its next use.

  1. Choose the source

  2. Configure the job

  3. Run the tool

  4. Check the result

  5. Continue

After processing

Review, download, and continue after Merge PDF

A completed result still deserves a quick check. Keep the original, inspect the output type and contents, and decide what should happen next before you share it.

Output to verify

Result type: PDF output

Bring related PDFs together, arrange them in the required sequence, and create one document that is simpler to review or share.

Check page order, orientation, text, permissions, and any visible signatures before sharing the PDF.

  1. Review the output

Check page order, text, orientation, and the number of files in the workspace before sending anything.

  2. Download your copy

Use the workspace Download action after the result is ready. A browser handoff does not prove that a file was saved to disk.

  3. Delete now when offered

If this workspace offers Delete now, use it after downloading. Availability depends on the tool and current result path.

  4. Continue with the next task

Keep the source until you have verified the result, then move to a related PDF task or return to the tools catalog.

Practical example

Build one monthly expense packet

Starting point

Receipts, an expense summary, and an approval page arrive as separate PDFs that belong in one submission.

Result to check

Add the files, place the summary first and approval last, then download a single ordered expense packet.

Plan the combined document

Set the final page sequence before merging PDFs

Merging is simplest when each source has a clear role in the finished document. Decide the sequence first, remove accidental duplicates, and review the page boundaries after processing.

Application or approval packet

Use this approach when

A cover form, supporting records, and an approval page must reach one recipient as a single ordered submission.

Check before sharing

Place required forms first, verify every attachment is present once, and make sure signatures remain on the intended pages.

Monthly records bundle

Use this approach when

Statements, receipts, or reports from the same period need one predictable file for review, storage, or handoff.

Check before sharing

Use a consistent date order, look for duplicate source files, and confirm the first page of each record starts where expected.

Report assembled from chapters

Use this approach when

Different contributors deliver separate sections that need to become one report without recreating the source documents.

Check before sharing

Review transitions between chapters, page orientation, repeated title pages, and the page numbering shown inside each source.

Premium and Merge PDF

When Merge PDF needs more than Free

Free merges up to 25 files and 500 pages per task. Premium takes 100 files and drops the plan page cap, so a full archive is one job instead of five.

Usually next: Reorder the pages, add page numbers, or compress the combined file for email.

Paddle shows the exact amount, taxes, renewal date, and any eligible trial before you confirm. Stop future renewals yourself from your TapScanner billing account.

  • OCR that makes scans searchable and selectable
  • Editing the text that already exists in a PDF
  • Repair for files that refuse to open
  • Compare two revisions and see what changed
  • Up to 100 files and 1 GB in one task, no page cap
  • No daily job cap, subject to fair-use protection

Work with confidence

Clear limits and an output you can review

Know the access level

The first eligible task can be completed before login. Current file, page, and usage limits are shown in the workspace.

Keep document data out of analytics

TapScanner web's application data layer rejects filenames and document contents. Published analytics destinations require separate configuration verification.

Temporary storage during processing

Hosted processing paths may use temporary files. In the pinned core's normal download path, the output file is removed when the stream closes; scheduled cleanup covers stale temporary files.

Hosted processing

Web tools may send files to TapScanner's hosted processing service. We do not currently offer a customer-selectable processing region, so do not assume processing stays on your device or in a particular country.

Delete when offered

Delete-now is available only when a result screen explicitly offers it; it is not yet supported by every web tool.

Check the finished file

Open the downloaded result and verify important pages, values, formatting, and permissions before relying on it.

Questions

Merge PDF FAQ

Can I use Merge PDF for free?

Yes. Your first eligible task can be completed before login. TapScanner shows the current file, page, and daily limits before processing.

Can I rearrange files before merging them?

Yes. Put the PDFs in the exact order you want before starting the merge; that order becomes the page sequence in the finished document.

Do I need to install software for Merge PDF?

No. TapScanner runs in a modern web browser, so you can upload, process, and download the result without installing desktop software.

Does merging PDFs change my original files?

The workflow creates a combined output. Keep the source PDFs until you have opened the merged file and confirmed its order, page count, signatures, and chapter boundaries.

Can the merged PDF contain different page sizes or orientations?

Source documents may use different page sizes and orientations. Review the joins between files and any landscape pages in the merged result before printing or sharing it.

Ready to use Merge PDF?

Add your file and finish the job. The limits that apply are shown before processing starts, not after it fails.
